3. Why is monitoring fatigue necessary? 4. How do you monitor fatigue? 5. Is future research into fatigue monitoring wanted? Fatigue monitoring is characterised through the use of numerous methods with a purpose to study the physiological and psychological fatigue accumulated from training and competing in sport. This is a very important tool for coaches, sports scientists, and other practitioners alike due to the very fact that high levels of fatigue can inhibit correct adaption to training and hinder efficiency in competition. Therefore, actively monitoring fatigue ranges in athletes can provide important suggestions needed to regulate training so as to improve general efficiency. There are several ways to watch fatigue by means of different subjective (e.g. questionnaires) or objective (e.g. at-home blood monitoring lactate) measures. Recently, much research has attempted to evaluate the validity and reliability of many of these measures (e.g. wellness questionnaires). While many practitioners have developed properly-rounded fatigue monitoring programmes, there remains to be a huge demand for extra research to verify one of the best methods for monitoring fatigue.
